Daniel is an experienced community organizer, lifelong learner, self-starter, and strong team player with a proven ability to strategically outreach to and engage diverse people and communities. He is a proud graduate of the University of Washington (Bothell), where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Society, Ethics & Human Behavior and a master’s degree in Community-Centered Integrative Practice from the School of Social Work, with a focus on community engagement.
He brings many years of nonprofit and community engagement experience. A longtime resident of Snohomish County, Daniel has raised a child in the Edmonds School District, where he also served as a parent advocate and coached wrestling and football.
Daniel is the founder of Families of Color United in Service, a South Snohomish County–based nonprofit. This community-driven, peer-to-peer organization was established to provide hands-on advocacy training and strategies that promote civic engagement in communities of color and immigrant communities—particularly around equity in education for historically marginalized groups.
He also serves as a contributor to BACPAC, a community of patients, partners, advocates, and researchers working together to improve prostate cancer care for Black and African-descent men through community-based research and advocacy.
Most recently, Daniel worked as an admissions advisor at Bastyr University. He also served as a board member here at North Sound ACH, with his tenure ending in January of this year.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, watching movies, attending live music events, and playing guitar and singing.
A true team player, Daniel brings professionalism, energy, enthusiasm, knowledge, and a social justice lens to the organizations he serves!
