Paulette joined the North Sound ACH as Health Integration Specialist in July 2023. She grew up in the Midwest as a first-generation daughter of Salvadoran, immigrant parents and graduated with her MSW from the University of Missouri – Columbia. During her time there, she was heavily involved in Peer Mentors organizations and Sexual Health advocacy groups and also volunteered with LGBTQIA organizations and in psychology research labs. With a background in Mental Health, Criminal Justice, and Healthcare it fueled her passion for change-making, radical social justice, and equity. Her most recent experience was with Peace Health Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation advocating for and assisting individuals going through medical recovery.
Paulette has also been heavily involved in the National Association of Social Workers – WA Chapter Delegate Assembly and Legislative Action Committee focusing on improving legislative programs benefiting populations social workers serve. She is excited to bring her knowledge, passion, and skills to her position to improve the lives of the communities in the North Sound region.
