Lisa Sohni

Program Manager (She/Her)

Lisa Sohni joined North Sound ACH in October 2021 as a Program Manager. She brings nearly a decade of experience providing direct services and managing a variety of social service programs including workforce development, food access, financial capabilities, and more.

During this time Lisa led the Whatcom Asset Building Coalition, working with key partners to ensure Whatcom County residents had access to financial literacy education, free tax preparation services, and additionally strived to educate and advocate leaders and providers about the importance of Gender Wealth Equity with a particular focus on the Women’s Wealth Gap. She is especially passionate about elevating the need and importance of incorporating financial supports and offerings like free professional financial counseling into the fold of social service programs.

Additionally, she assisted in the development of the Whatcom Resource Roundtable, a grassroots, provider driven effort geared at improving access to resources for the community at large, with a primary focus on developing a comprehensive, interconnected database as a component of a wider Resource Access System.

Having worked in social services and experiencing the inequities that exist within the systems and throughout the community, she makes it her duty to work toward a better future where all have the ability to thrive and reach their full potential. She is excited to be a part of the North Sound team and broaden the scope of her throughout the region.
