Collette Harris, MD, MS

Clinical Innovations Program Manager (she/her)

Collette Harris is joining North Sound ACH as the Clinical Innovations Program Manager. Collette (she/her) grew up in Kirkland, WA seeing her father, a descendant of enslaved African people, labor in a glass factory which exposed him to environmental toxins. A first-generation college student, she graduated with a BA from Stanford University, MS from Columbia University Institute of Human Nutrition, and medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine.  During residency at the Swedish Cherry Hill Family Medicine Residency Program, she cared for patients at Seattle Indian Health Board, trained as a street medic, and served as Chief of Diversity & Recruitment.  She has practiced at Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center, Valleywise Community Health Center in North Phoenix, and Unity Health Care in Washington, DC, working to decrease the spread of COVID-19 and promote vaccine equity for unhoused people.  She has written and spoken about the harms of medical training in our profit-driven medical system, and is excited to advocate for community health from an anticolonial lens.
