Janet St. Clair is County Commissioner of Island County, helping provide the legislative and executive functions for local government. As a social worker and community advocate, healthy families and communities have always been a priority for Janet. She has worked in mental health, substance abuse, aging adult and child and family services, and is committed to health and well-being as a lifelong right for our citizens. As an advocate for the most vulnerable among us, she brings a systems perspective that looks for policy and practice solutions that are seamless and integrated.

Janet currently serves on several other local boards and councils, including the Island County Board of Health, the Economic Development Council, Northwest Clean Air Agency, Northwest Workforce Development Council, among others.
