POC Gatherings are monthly virtual meetings for people of color in the North Sound region (and beyond!) to connect, network, and support one another. Interested? Email POCGatherings@NorthsoundACH.org for details on the next gathering.
How it Began
After the murder of George Floyd in May 2020, one of North Sound ACH’s partner organizations brought forth the need for a space where people of color could gather, let down their guards, and process together.
North Sound ACH is honored to offer resources to support this group. With the help of SEED Collaborative, the first convening for people of color took place on June 22, 2020, and have been scheduled monthly since then. Read more about the origins of the group in this blog post.
February 17 | March 17 | April 21 | May 19
POC Gatherings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, 3:30 – 5:00 pm on Zoom. Email POCGatherings@NorthsoundACH.org to be added to the email list and receive a calendar invite with the Zoom link.
Planning Sessions: Thursdays, February 25 | March 25 | April 22
Members of the group agree that one of the most critical components to meeting the needs of attendees is to have the voices of participants in planning and continued development. Planning meetings are on the 4th Thursday of each month, 4:00 – 5:00 pm; all participants are welcome to attend and contribute ideas.
We’re working on a landing page for the group, but for now please email POCGatherings@NorthsoundACH.org to be added to the email list, get more info on the planning group. and receive calendar invites with the Zoom link.
