As many events this spring and summer get postponed or cancelled due to COVID-19, we too have an announcement regarding our planned August partner convening. Back in January we asked you to hold August 4-6 for the annual two-day meeting. There is such great value in coming together for shared learning and collaboration — we don’t want to miss an opportunity to connect and focus on our common work as a group.
Following recommendations of local, statewide and tribal health leaders, we won’t be meeting in-person this August, however we still want you to hold August 5 and 6 for some great online partner dialogues. (We will not need all day on either day — our plan is for about 3 hours each day. Specifics to be announced soon.)
Leading up to the August online event, you will be invited to join smaller virtual dialogues. We want to cultivate a space for collaboration among smaller groups of partner organizations, with the goal of bringing what comes out of those conversations to the larger group in August. This will also give us the opportunity to continue our equity & tribal learning.
In summary: There will not be an in-person convening this August, but please hold August 5 and 6 for online gathering. We will soon share more information and specific calendar invites for the smaller virtual dialogue groups that will be happening in June and July.
We are grateful to be working with you, especially during this challenging season, and look forward to connecting this summer.
