We are pleased to announce a new resource for community members, North Sound Listens: a support program to assist those recovering from the 2021 floods in Whatcom and Skagit county. This program is funded by the Washington Health Care Authority, and is an expansion of Washington Listens.
North Sound Listens support staff are available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. via email at NorthSoundListens@NorthSoundACH.org or by phone at (360) 935-0105. We have team members who speak Spanish, and all have access to interpretation services for all other languages.
North Sound Listens is designed to help people deal with stresses from the flooding and its aftermath, and to build recovery. This includes providing someone to talk to, groups to help work through the stress together, resources to self-manage, and connection to resources.
If you know of someone still feeling the impacts from the 2021 flooding, please use our handout – available in English and Spanish – for clients and community members, and let us know how we can connect with your organization to learn more.
In community,
North Sound Listens team:
