This fund intends to support leaders in the North Sound region who have faced systemic barriers when accessing well-being resources and aims to provide aid that foster healing, restoration, and sustainability in their work. A few notes about language and eligibility:
- – Applicants must live and/or work in the North Sound region (Island, San Juan, Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom counties) to be eligible.
- – Our goal is to have an inclusive definition of leadership, which is broader than traditional organizational titles. Individuals leading impactful change in their communities are encouraged to apply.
- – We recognize that while healing happens in community, this opportunity is intended for individual applicants, not for organization-based projects.
- – Wellness has different meanings for different people, and expect that requests will cover a wide range of services. Examples could include, but are not limited to: culturally relevant wellness activities, professional development services (e.g. classes, coaching, conferences), wellness retreats.
- – For some examples of how we think about wellness, check out the following resources: Vital Conditions for Wellbeing, Cantril Ladder, 8 Domains of Wellness.
- – You may request up to $5,000 – we encourage you to ask for what you need while keeping in mind that many others will also be requesting funds. Our goal is to share our limited resources as widely as possible.
Applications are reviewed quarterly. We periodically pause submissions at the end of each quarter to process requests, we will reopen in early summer. Please check back on our website or sign up for our monthly newsletter for updates.
If you have any questions about the information above, or your potential application, please reach out to us at Team@NorthSoundACH.org.
